A school day at The Pearl Primary begins at 7:45am, when the bell rings. At this point, children will line up in their classes in
the courtyard facing the national flag. After the school has sung the national anthem, the children will then make their way to
their classes with their teachers to begin their learning. Please ensure all children are in school on time so that they do not
miss any learning time, children who arrive after 7:55am will be marked late in our electronic register.
End of the day 2:20pm
(2:00pm for FS)
At the end of the day, you can meet your children in the Inner Courtyard at 2:20pm. If there is a change to the normal
collection arrangements, please let your child’s class teacher know by contacting the school before the end of the school day.
In the interests of safeguarding our children, staff will be unable to let any children leave with an adult other than their
parents, unless we have been informed beforehand.
Snack boxes and lunch boxes
Your child should bring in a healthy snack (in a lunchbox) every day. This should include some fruit for a fruit break during the morning. Please ensure that your child has plenty of drinks – water is best. The lunchbox and drinks bottle should be clearly named. Water bottles can be refilled throughout the day from our water chillers.
You will receive a copy of your child’s timetable in the first week of the new term. Please remind them to bring their PE kit, swimming kit or library bag on the appropriate day. School bags are available at the uniform shop. If your child is unable to swim due to health reasons, a medical note is also required.
Preparation for the School Day
Please ensure your child obtains a good night’s sleep and eats a healthy breakfast to arrive at school alert, refreshed, punctual and ready for an exciting day of learning.
